 d for equine veterinarians with a good working knowledge in the field of m
 are reproduction and provides a critical update on the management of mares
  for artificial insemination\, on different causes that lead to mares bein
 g barren and how to investigate and treat these problems (incl. hysterosco
 py). The 2nd day will focus on the pregnant mare with management of twin p
 regnancies\, foetal sexing\, different pregnancy-related problems and peri
 -partum emergencies (incl. dystocia & retained foetal membranes etc.). \n\
 nThe highly-illustrated lectures will be held in English (without translat
 ion\, but with German moderation) in the mornings. In the afternoons\, 7 h
 ours of practical / case-based sessions will give attendees plenty of oppo
 rtunity to put theory into practice on barren/pregnant mares and on cadave
 rs in small groups (2 – 4 attendees / ultrasound machine) and to discuss
  all aspects of mare reproduction with the world-renowned specialists. Eac
 h attendee will be rotating through the following practical stations: \n\n
 Ultrasound of the barren mare (incl. doppler) \nManagement of Mares & Uter
 ine Sampling Techniques – Swabbing\, flushing & biopsies \nHysteroscopy 
 \nTransrectal Ultrasound – Assessment of the Foetus & Utero-placental Un
 it \nFoetal Sexing – Transrectally at 65 & 120 days\nObstetrical examina
 tion and intervention\nThe course fee includes lunches at a restaurant\, c
 offee/tea breaks\, a wine & cheese reception\, extensive electronic course
  notes and a certificate of attendance. Attendees can choose to only atten
 d the lectures (= Lectures Only) on this course or can register for the en
 tire course (= Lectures & Practical Sessions). Early course registration i
